Keeping children safe in education
Safeguarding at St Giles is given the highest of priority in school. Every member of staff has statutory training and regular updates. Our school works under the guidance of Derby and Derbyshire Safeguarding Children Partnership and liaises closely with a range of specialist and locality services to ensure the best and safest outcomes for our pupils. The Designated Safeguarding Lead is a senior member of staff and is part of the school's leadership team.
We promote a nurturing and open policy with our pupils and other stakeholders, so that everyone can talk openly about concerns at the earliest opportunity. If you have any questions or concerns regarding safeguarding then please telephone 01332 343039 and ask to speak with one of the following Safeguarding Leads:
(Senior Lead Practitioner)
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Rob Sherwood (Principal)
Katy Elliott (Chair of Governors)
