Remote Home Learning
Welcome to Remote Home Learning at St Giles
All of our pupils have returned to full time education in September 2020 following on from the CV19 closures in the Spring and Summer term. It is our hope that this may long continue, however in line with Government guidance we need to prepare for the possibility of individual pupils, class bubble, phase bubble or whole school self-isolation or the possibility of a local or national lockdown for a period of time. The school has put in place a plan for Remote Home Learning so that pupils can continue with their education, this meets the expectations set out in the DfE guidance ‘Remote Education Support’.
In the event of a class or phase isolation, parents will be contacted over ClassDojo with class work being set by the class teachers. Over the period of time Parents/Carers can expect to be contacted by Class Teachers and Teams over Class Dojo, weekly phone calls and a Live zoom session every fortnight.
