Jungle Book Homework

  • Goldilocks and the three bears story – Make your own Goldilocks scene using three bears different sizes. You could make bear paw prints different sizes. Explore porridge that’s different temperatures.
  • • Rhymes – Follow the actions
  •  Mark make in circular movements in porridge oats, cinnamon and other similar edibles.

 

 

  • Coins – selloptape/seal a Tupperware with coins inside. Build anticipation, shake the coins and encourage your child to look and copy.
  • Make your own oat shakers.

 

  • Money – Using the tub and coins from phonics - Rhyme to ‘London Bridge is falling down’ – sing – ‘Coins in my tub, clink, clink…’
  • Using a big and small plastic bowl paint around it or use them to print marks. Look at the big and small circle marks made.

 

  • Science – ‘Head, shoulders, knees and toes’ rhyme – sing along gesturing to different body parts.
  • Make hand and foot prints in paint focusing on looking at their hands and feet.
  • Art & Design – Use flour and black food colouring to make the smoke in the Mill picture, use pegs to stamp and make people etc.
  • History – If you have train toys explore the trains and how they move. This is to explore how Victorians move around.

 

  • Encourage your child to sign/ use symbols to request what they want / need – please see child’s class teacher if you need symbols for home.
