Can you create your own leaflet for a holiday that you have either been on or would like to go on? Remember to include key information such as; The name of the place/ hotel, the cost of the holiday, the star rating of the holiday, the weather and key activities for guests to do there!

 

 

 

Can children draw their daily routine, either on a school day or at the weekend?

 

Children can also make their own clocks using a paper plate to help them tell the time, focusing on: o’clock, quarter past, half past and quarter to.

 

We will also be looking at practical fractions, can children share out cake/ pizza/ chocolae bards amongst a different number of people? (For examples cutting in half, quarters of fifths).

 

Children have started to design and make their own pirate ships in class; can they design and build a ship at home? You will need to take into account the following: How fast can they make it go? How will you make sure it floats?

For geography, children could explore maps or use google earth to look at the features of these environments.

 

For history, children could find pictures of what different seaside resorts used to look like and what they look like now- how have they changed?

 

In art we will be focusing on Andy Goldsworthy; can children create their own art work using nature?

 

In PHSE we will be continuing our focusing on growing up and the changes our body will go through. You could draw a picture of a child and a grownup and label the differences between the two bodies. If you are slightly older, you could also focus on the changes with puberty. You could also talk about feelings and keep a feeling diary thinking about what activities make you happy and why some things may make you sad.
