Welcome to St Giles Special School
St Giles School is the only special primary school for Derby City. Our children's needs include moderate and severe learning difficulties and autism. At St Giles we aim to create an inspiring, creative and caring environment in which the children feel valued and enjoy their learning. Each child's potential can be developed through our personalised individual approach to learning and by participation in a vast and varied range of opportunities, activities and experiences.
On Friday 18th July parents and staff organised a 12 hour continuous cycle ride at Asda, Spondon. We had tremendous support and raised a staggering £480 A special thank you to Tammy Jackson for selling her beautiful cakes and for supporting the event throughout the whole day!!
A big thank you to all parents and families who attended our Summer Fayre. It was enjoyed by all! We raised a fantastic £640.
Yesterday, Tuesday 22nd July we had an Award Ceremony to present awards for children who have achieved throughout the year. Bailey and Moaeez won an award for ‘Communication’ Harry won an award for ‘PSHE’ Marcus won the ‘Achievement Award’ James won the ‘Friendship Award’ Moaeez won the ‘Music Award’ and Harry won the ‘PE Award’ We also celebrated Swimming, Cooking and Horse Riding Achievements.
