Welcome to St Giles Special School
St Giles School is the only special primary school for Derby City. Our children's needs include moderate and severe learning difficulties and autism. At St Giles we aim to create an inspiring, creative and caring environment in which the children feel valued and enjoy their learning. Each child's potential can be developed through our personalised individual approach to learning and by participation in a vast and varied range of opportunities, activities and experiences.
7th May 2013 – Fundraising News
The Coach and Horses have raised £251 towards our minibus fund. They heard about the excellent community work we undertake with our children at St Giles and had an event to raise funds in our name. Wednesday 6th February 2013 – Horse Riding
Following on from the success of lessons last half term, the children in Red Room are continuing horse riding lessons in January and February. The benefits to the children have been tremendous and include; enhanced posture, increased core mobility, increased confidence and exercise.
